Wedding Suppliers in Kent
This is a bit of an old school thing to do on a website, but I want to help you new brides and grooms out a little during this crazy time of wedding planning. I know from speaking to many of my clients that they never know where to start with wedding photography let alone florists, jewellers, hair stylists and other wedding suppliers in Kent.
There are so many great wedding suppliers out there so how do you go about separating them? You need to do the same as if you were shopping on Amazon, read the reviews and take on board recommendations…simple.
All the guys and girls below I have worked with and trust to deliver you a great service. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend anyone to you I didn’t feel lived up to my own standards. After all it’s my reputation on the line as well now I have made this page. If you want to speak with me first about my experiences with the suppliers just GIVE ME A CALL.
Take a look through and see if there is anyone you like, their web address are listed for you for ease, and don’t forget to tell them I sent you 🙂
Pretty Please by Katie
When you visit Katie’s website you will see that she looks familiar, that’s because she is my wife. However, I am recommending Katie because she is great at what she does. To be honest I don’t know a Chignon from a Waterfall Braid, but plenty of other knowledgeable people do and she has the trophies on our mantelpiece to prove it. Katie is the Kent Wedding Hairdresser of the year 2016, she has been listed as one of the top 50 hair stylists and make-up artists in the country on Go Hen, she was a finalist in the South East Wedding Industry Awards 2015 and 2017 and has been nominated in the Kent Women in Business Awards 2017. Need I say more.
The East Kent Flower Company
Louise over at The East Kent Flower Company operates in a very similar vein to myself. Louise keeps things personal, inventive and meaningful for every client.
I first met Louise following a wedding at Goodnestone Park which was a pretty spectacular occasion, with some pretty spectacular floral arrangements…one of them 20 foot up a marquee pole!!!
Head down to the fully equipped workshop to experience Louise’s unique take on floristry, she also makes a mean cup of tea.
Custom and Co.
Based in the Royal Start Arcade in Maidstone and run by Ben Wells a Hatton Garden trained jeweler. They specialise in custom-made engagement and wedding rings as well as other diamond jewellery. The best thing about these guys is the workshop is on site with the shop so you can see your ring being made. They also offer make your own Wedding Ring Workshops, how cool is that? Check out Ali and Sam’s day with Ben and his team over in my ENGAGEMENT PORTFOLIO to see how a piece of metal turns into a piece of love, ahhhhh.
Katy, not my wife this time, is an amazing cook from Whitstable in Kent. The Minno Kitchen offer bespoke catering for weddings, private dinner parties and corporate events. I photographed a “Day in the life” for Minno Kitchen at Great Higham Farm in Doddington Kent last Christmas. The food was immense and Katy always dleivers service with a smile. Check out my BLOG post from the day to see Katy in action.
Beach Hut Weddings
If you want a truly unique wedding venue, then Kirsty’s beach hut on Herne Bay Pier is the place for you. Get married, eat ice cream, take a spin on the carousel and round the day off with a dip in the sea. What more could you want from a wedding day. If me and Katie got married again, this would be the place for us without doubt!!
Light of My Life
Another Faversham based business, that offers event dressing services and those brilliant illuminated letters for your wedding or event. Sarah and David are the kindest people and have been in the wedding industry for almost ten years, that is a lifetime for people in this kind of work and they maintain their position in the industry because they are so good at what they do. They opened a shop in Preston Street, Faversham in January 2017 where you can buy lights for your home or chat to them about all your wedding needs!
Fox and Braces
The words Wedding DJ might make you think of a cheesy old due in a tux playing some Abba (I freakin hate Abba), and you might be right. However, there is an alternative! Dan and Dave from Fox and Braces are almost as cool as me, love their music and even have a beer (wedding) pong table to boot. Give the boys a call for some wedding DJ’ing with a difference.
