Lenham Wanderers vs AFC Valour

A few weeks ago I posted a blog about my new personal project, which is titled “A Season with the Wanderers”. The purpose of the project is to document their player manager Daniel Russell’s 30th season with the side…he is a local legend.

So what better way to kick off documenting Dan’s season on a day when he isn’t at the game! Typical. Apparently going to see Liverpool play Hull is more interesting, but to be fair he did have seats in the famous Kop end. They won 5-1 in case you are interested, grrrrrrr.

Lenham soldiered on without Dan with joint player manager Lewis Smith at the helm. It’s quite possible Dan might not have a job to come back to as Lenham bagged a 4-1 win over a side from Sevenoaks in the Kent Cup. So that’s two wins out of two, a great start to the long season ahead.

By the way, taking football photographs is really hard, I will stick with weddings once the season is over. So you all need to appreciate the images you see on the back pages of your newspapers just that little bit more in the future please!
