I Love This Photo, Number Six

It really should become a new wedding tradition for the groom to wear a pink feather boa during the wedding reception, actually, no, the whole wedding day. It really brings a sense of occasion to a London wedding I feel.

This photo was taken at Sharon and Andy’s wedding reception following their marriage at Danson House in Bexley on the outskirts of London. They had recently spent a lot of time and money renovating their house and garden, so what better way to show it off to their friends and family. I personally love the Indian Sandstone patio, I’m sad I know but I always wanted one.

The photo makes me smile every time I see it. Andy looks completely fed up as he munches away on his pork bap fresh the succulent hog roast, but It’s not just Andy that makes this photo great. It’s his four guests sitting beside him taking no notice of the boa wearing groom, it’s just as if they were sitting on a tube train on the way home from a hard day’s work in the office.

Another reason I love this photo is because the mood is completely contradictory to the rest of the wedding day. It was actually one of the most fun London weddings I’ve ever photographed. Sharon, Andy’s bride was full of smiles and laughter all day. Don’t just take my word for it though, check out the rest of their day over in my wedding portfolios.

Sharon, Andy and the rest of the family will have a good laugh at this photo for the rest of their days, and it’s all thanks to my documentary style wedding photography. Documentary photography captures all the best bits from your wedding day that you never even noticed going on. If you would like to talk more about my wedding photography style please give me a shout and I can show you hundreds more photo’s that I love.
